Reflection

My art work from last year to this year has improved dramatically. My collages look more like collages, rather than just some magazine pages slapped onto a page and calling it finished. Through out this year, I have been more satisfied with my work than I was last year. I realized that if you think something is done, rather than knowing it is done, you aren't really done. The feeling of knowing that;this is done and I like it just how it is, means you are completely satisfied and wouldn't want to change a thing. Last year, I felt that when I was done a project, I was completely satisfied with what I have done. My favorite project this year, was the shoe drawing. This is something we did very early in the school year. I think I liked this project the most because I really shocked myself with what I can do. My shading and accuracy was so much better than last year. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous on adding color to it because I didn't want to mess it up, but I am extremely glad I did. Next year, I am going to take a break from art and see what other electives are out there. I have enjoyed my time as an art student and very lucky to have Mrs. Kiick as my teacher. Art will play some role in my career, when I am older, because I want to go into Architecture and I am thinking about interior design. It is always fun to see what new assignment Mrs. Kiick has in store and it always turns out to be a good one. I am sad that this year is just about over, but I have had a blast. Thank you for a great two years!
